hi all, was wondering if anybody can help

I printed a nozzle pattern last monday and noticed a cyan line was missing a single nozzle, and another was a black colour. the rest of the patterns were perfect.

I’ve cleaned the printer in strong settings twice without any success. I’m worried that the nozzle is blocked permanently, i’ve included a picture link below.

    thanks again

    Hi,
In my personal opinion this nozzle check is by far nothing to worry about. It may be slightly dried out but will not affect the print quality. you’re worrying over something very small indeed. I have at least 10-15 nozzles missing on different occasions and still get picture perfect πŸ˜€ Don’t worry about one nozzle πŸ˜€

    hi Resh,

thanks for the reply. The engineer flushed the head and ran numerous ink charges. He also left the head in eco-solvent cleaning fluid over night. I checked the next day but its still missing. The prints are fine but since the machine still has a months warrenty i’ve asked for the head to be replace. It seems mutoh only replace heads if there are more than 20+ nozzles out…is this something which you have encountered. the engineer said it would be 600 for the head and another 400 labour to fit it. I’m thinking of taking an extended warrently but dont see the point of they don’t replace the head parts.

It is really not a problem to have one or two missfires. don’t worry about it unless print quality is affected. My service contract recenty replace two of my heads, but could not justify replacing the black one because in had 2 nozzles lblocked (not Mutoh BTW).

    hi peter,

The enginner visited 2 days ago to fix the missing cyan nozzle. It’s still missing after the tasks he performed so its most likely a dead nozzle and i’m considering a new agreement. Also today I received the following error code with all light flashing β€˜e016 adderr-L/ic[04]’. The cyan colour also prints green the next day as well and I have to perform 4-5 strong cleans to make it blue. i’m thinking this might be the flush liquid stuck in the pipes. have you ever encountered a problem like this.
