Hi guys, Need some help over here. Got a contract to reproduce some old museum documents and I don’t have a clue how to best present them.
Would I frame or mount on foam boards?
I would have thought your customer would have an idea of what they wanted, to fit in with the rest of their display maybe.
If they can give no guidance, a museum is not a harsh environment, so I think I would be inclined to go for mounting on foam board, or some other substrate.
Also, I would print them on a matt material, to avoid glare under lights making them difficult to read.
Thank you John. The documents given were not consistence, some were mounted on hard board others wooden frames, lose gloss laminated sheets, even some unmounted ones with drawing pin holes in the corners.
