• multiple page pdf

    Hi

Hope I haven’t missed the obvious here.

I use illustrator for just about everything including writing quotes, its versatile and you can save as a pdf which everyone seams to be able to open.

But If Im asking a sub contractor for a quote for a pposter case or somehing there pdf has multiple pages.

Is there extra software I need to do this because I cant work out how its done in illustrator?

Ideally, you need Acrobat Professional for multi-page PDFs, or most DTP
packages ie. Quark / InDesign can produce multipage PDFs. If you have
Acrobat Pro, use Illustrator to produce the pages you want in your PDF,
then use Acrobat to make a new multipage PDF from your multiple Illy files.

Don’t use it myself, but this should be what you want.

I use other HotDoor products and they are well made. I couldn’t live without CADtools.

    Hi James

In page set up you need to create tiles (pages needed), set out your artwork on to each tile, save as PDF and select multiple page pdf.

I used to use Illi for all my quotes and invoices which had T&C on 2nd page so used this function every time and works well and easy, you just have to remember to click multiple page Pdf or you get one the same as the artwork.

    Hope that helps

    Cheers

If you use Corel, just make a multipage file and either publish to pdf or use Cute/Acrobat or similar and print to the driver for a multipage pdf. Unless things have changed Illustrator cannot produce a multipage document with 3rd part software.

    Tks Guys

    Has anyone tried open office.

I thought I would see if I could save an open office document as a pdf as you cant with Microsoft word and at first I thought you couldn’t as there was no option in the drop down menu.

But then I noticed a pdf symbol in the tool bar and it seems to work spot on.

Ive just made and emailed myself a multiple page pdf and it opened fine.

Just looking at that Cadtools John.

    It looks amazing.

If you took the time to learn to use it right you could do all sorts with that.
