if you mirror print onto clear you will have to back it up with white to give good colours.

Does the image have to be viewed through the perspex and that’s why you want to reverse print onto clear vinyl, then like Chris says back with white?
i say that because if you print anything other than directly to the face or rear apply, you don’t necessarily have to use acrylic do you, because the vinyl is the finish?hope that made sense? 😕

I’ve just done two perspex advertising boards for a customer. Reverse printed the vinyl because the customer specifically wants to mount the boards onto a white panel outside his premises and have the vinyl on the inside to prevent accidental damage, vandalism etc.

I’m probably being slightly ignorant here but when doing it that way do you not get the sticky look. Ive gone from doing none of this type of thing to quite a few but because I print them I have never tried to do it that way. Is there any special vinyl one can use to produce these without the glue of the vinyl showing through? Or is it something that is never noticed when a couple of yards back.

Whether I do them in cut vinyl, print, wet or dry…give it 24 hours in a warm room and there’s no sign of ‘silvering’ / glue…images are perfect.
If not ‘perfect’ then perhaps it’s the vinyl adhesive. What vinyls have you been using?

I don’t use vinyl i just print direct using UV. From experience i just know that when you stick vinyl to glass/acrylic you can see the glue. I guess hadn’t thought about it getting better after time.

That’ll just be trapped wind that you’re feeling Peter.
Easily confused for the former complaint – a little bit of a pain in the a$$, big stink over nothing and you lose all your friends. 😳
