Mounters Mate Smartstation, advice please?

Hope all members are well
After a little advise on technique or work methods on using my Smartstation, flat panels no problem.
Panels that have channels already fixed on the back of been a little more tricky, I have had MDF cut to place under the sign, to fill in the gaps, at the same depth as the height of the panel. There doesn’t seem to be any discernible movement and feels very solid but we still got bubble and ripples, so there must be a little give in there that I cannot detect. These are 8×4 panels.
So was wondering what any other users do.
Alternative is to fix the channel in house after mounting the graphic, but never done this before and would prefer to revit as this is more secure for developers signs etc, again advise please.

is it possible the metal face of the sign is cold?
some times you can get a slight warping in the vinyl if the metal is cold. sometimes if the room is cold too.
I think some vinyl is worse than others and can depend on how it’s been stored also.is the channel on the rear fitted by domed rivets of VHB tape or a blind head rivet type?
fitting channels very easy. a decent rivet gun is key!
definitely not the pliers type riveter. :shake: -
We had similar issues with pre-fixed channel signs. We ended up packing them out underneath with foam board, which helped us get them out. We’ve also used air free vinyl, and applied by hand, which worked OK as well.

Hi I found my way round it was to make sure at the ends of the 4 feet wide, I cut panels to fit tight the width of the table and same height obviously as your sign/panel this stopped the rippling effect.
