    Hi Guys/Gals

I have been asked to do 6 Motor bike helmets, Cartoon graphics rapped around the back to the sides ( probably printed )

What is the best Vinyl to use and are there any real pitfalls to look out for.

I am being given a old helmet to practice on to get the technique right, so any info would be greatly appretiated as always

    Thanks

    Paul

Approach this with caution, there use to be a problem with the glues affecting the strength of motor bike helmets, this was linked more to the cheaper versions if i remember right.

Negative on that idea Craig, there are 2 types of helmet currently available Type A and Type B, you may apply stickers to Type A helmets but under no circumstances should you stick anything to or paint Type B helmets type B are usually 2 piece outer shells and generally inferior in construction, Type A are one piece moulded and are usually made of much superior materials ie kevlar/carbon fibre/fibreglass.

Steve’s right, the type B helmets are made in two pieces and its the join that can be broken down by some types of adhesive. I can’t see the type A’s being too tricky. Why not contact a helmet manufacturer like Shoei, they might have some information to hand about this.
