You’ll be after domething a bit like this.

A few similar ones on the market.
Only really any good if you are matching it up with a calibrated printer.

first move is to make sure u got decent monitors … not cheapos
sadly i am a bit out of touch with them at the moment as I got Apple Pro Cinema monitors plugged into PC’s and a few quality Dell monitors…. they are great.
We got some cheap old 17" Samsungs but they are crap
i used to profile monitor with something i picked up off ebay, it used to make something I could plug into Corel, they made it work well.

I use a Huey, the profile is them used with Corel as the monitor profile X4 and below and used as the OS system profile for X5

As Dave says.. decent monitors are a must.
Digital photographers will profile there monitors when they want their own print which is printed on their own printer to look the same as the image on their own monitor.
The problem is if you do an artwork and send a file to a customer to be approved, then his/her monitor will not display the same colour contrast as yours does, then they complain when your print is not the same as what is on their monitor, it will also happen if you dont profile your monitor so i have to question is it worth it for a sign maker.

I’m in the market for 2 new monitors… I want the apple cinema displays but my budget doesn’t push to £1700 lol
At the moment I’ve got a HP w1907v (which isn’t too bad) and a crappy Yuraku (don’t ask)
I’d like to get 2 matching 23"-25" monitors and then get them colour corrected and profiled so I can get better results with prints
If your only doing signwork without print then I would say it’s not an issue but if printing then it’s a must IMO

try pick up an old imac and use it as a 2nd monitor then 😉 cheaper than a cinema display :lol1:

It’s a Mac Pro I’ve got, not the iMac so I need 2 monitors
The cinema displays are very nice though and i’d love one but 2 27" displays is kickin the arse out of it….. dear santa haha
