  • Mimaki JV33 Colour inconsistent?

    Hello all.
We have a Mimaki JV33 and have come across a print problem.
We printed a van wrap and the customer has had an accident repair done. We need to replace one side BUT….the print is coming out a lighter shade than before. The wrap was only done 4 weeks ago and all of the profiles etc are a correct match.
Any ideas on this? Temerature maybe?

We have no choice but to print the whole side to avoid the colour difference.

    Thanks.

Have you thought about posting in the "Say Hello" section so that we may know a little bit more about you and the company that you work for, also it has been proved that a profile picture helps generate more responses.

Once we have a bit more detail I am sure that at least one person on here will know what the problem is…

    Kind regards

    Russell.

Some colours will fade very quickly.

We did a van with a lot of solid greys and when it came back for a repair the reprints were very different. It was only when we peeled back a window rubber you could see the original colour underneath and it demonstrated just how much the print had changed. I was really surprised.

Also just noticed that you posted in the vinyl discussion forum and you may have got a better response from posting in the Mimaki printer forum.

    Kind regards

    Russell.
