as above, it’s very slight & not noticeable on most prints but on smaller text you can see a the main image then about 1/2mm of extra magenta.

It only does it with magenta, I cannot see anywhere to adjust this on the machine, any help/ideas gratefully received!

    Thanks

I can never remember which is X or Y on machines, so going to say X is across the print (carriage) and Y is pulling the roll through.

    Y issues
can be adjusted with Press "mode"? and then you got a feed adjustment while printing. Might not be in this case.

    X issues
can you confirm if you are printing uni-directional (printing one direction) or bi-directional (prints in both passes, from and to)

If Bi-Directional, there is an alignment procedure within the engineers menus.

If uni-directional, then it could be the clear encoder strip at the back full of dust, only use water to clean this strip gently.

I presuming your nozzles are 100% normal and not deflecting, deflection on 4point print is bad also, this is caused mainly by build up of dry ink under and inside the head. Head soak can solve it or new head.

With any advise, I suggest you contact your maintenance representative to clarify these points.

    Thanks Dave,

I am printing uni directional – the clear strip hasn’t been cleaned ever that I can remember!

Our nozzles are printing fine on test prints.

Will try giving the strip a clean.
