I’ve just taken a JV3 out of storage where it’s been for nearly 2 years. All the electronics seem fine and I’m just starting to get it back on-line. I was just wondering if you could point me in the right direction of where to get hold of printheads, pumps, dampers and all the other bits and pieces I’m likely to need.

I know I’m probably going to have to replace the heads but I’ve heard of a few printhead recovery companies who claim to be able to chemically wash/clean the dx4 nozzles – Has anybody tried using these processes or should I just resine myself to bying 4 new heads?

I’ve done a quick test print and all the heads are at least 50% blocked after overnight nozzle wash and endless power cleans. (the machine is currently in Lyson/Nazdar cleaning fluid)

Thanks for that link Robert with any luck they can do a deal for 4 new heads.

Thanks Tom – I’ve got a guy that can change and align the heads but having a backup is probably a good idea – not a good area for mistakes 😮
