I have a CJV 130 with a problem when it comes to cutting an accurate cutline when vinyl has been returned to the printer once it has been laminated.

    1. i am cutting around shapes and it leaves the white of the vinyl showing, it needs to be cutting right on the edge of the colour?

    2. I am using rasterlink and i create the cutline using the extraction tool within finecut.

has anybody got a solution to my problem? Just need to get the machine to cut on the edge of shapes without and colour of the white vinyl showing.

    Thanks

Unless you’ve added some bleed to the edge of your graphic then its always going to be an issue. Only has to be a tiny bit out (which it often is) and you’re going to see some white.

I usually set up a complete block of colour where the text should be to avoid any issues.

Its around images I struggle.- Once I received some artwork that had a fuzzy bleed around it meaning if the plotter ran off a little it still picked up the correct colours from the Jpeg. – never been able to crack it tho…
