A lot of people I know are at the Orlando one right now, having a blast.
You could take your kids to the theme parks there if you want.
(if you don’t mind waiting two hours in line for a ride and spending $30 on lunch on top of something like $80/person to get in)

The Atlantic City one is a day’s drive from me, but they hold it in the winter (sometimes lots of snow) and it’s always too close to my son’s birthday. But there is a bullpen area with painters. Not sure if the others have this.

I think the Vegas one would have the best weather and the most to see, even though I am not a huge fan of Vegas. But I do like the desert and seeing the Hoover Dam and things like that. The airport is right in town too.

How about this for a plan……..

    Fly to Vegas.
    Rent an appropriate size vehicle.
    Hoover Dam
    Grand Canyon Skywalk thingy.
Squeeze in a bit of Route 66.
It’s a bit of a hike, but Jenny and I don’t mind doing the driving……
    Tombstone.
    Back to Vegas.
Did somebody say something about a sign related event?
Maybe take in a show – anybody fancy Jersey Boys?
    Fly home.

Sounds like a better plan. Have been to the Vegas show & wasn’t too impressed. Nothing much more to see than our humble shows. Except maybe a few cherry pickers.

    Thank you Brian.

It always seems to me that the major cost of this sort of gig is the getting there and back. Jill may not agree, being used to US prices, but to me the accommodation seems cheap, and the food is for nothing. So, once we’re there, we might as well get as much out of the trip as possible.

Tombstone is great, especially karaoke night, and believe me I normally hate karaoke as much as the rest of you, but that was special. Anyway, if that seems a bit far, we could always go to Lake Havasu City instead, and take a look at the old London Bridge that I remember from my youth. 😀

If this turns out to be a go-er I would suggest that we all sort out our own flights to and from Vegas. From there, I am more than happy to organise the rest.

If you are going to Vegas you have to go to the town of Goodsprings and have a beer at the Pioneer Saloon.

I would probably fly out there if anyone went, couldn’t care less about the show or gambling but it would be great to see everyone again.

I’m with John on his itinerary. There just to much great scenery and attractions just outside Las Vegas to miss. We lived in New Mexico a few times when I was a kid. The Southwest US desert is really such an enchanting place to see. It’d be a shame to spend all the time at a blinking slot machine. 😀
