I only needed 1m of 320mm wide vinyl of a special colour for a customer booked in for van graphics last Tuesday so ordered it late on Friday and was promised it on a Monday delivery. When it hadn’t arrived by 5pm I called Metamark again and they checked the courier who said they had tried to deliver it at 2pm that day.
This I was able to say was a load of crock as I had been in my office all day next to the door with a view over the private drive they would have had to drive up.
I still had the van booked in and the customer required it finished the next day.
So Metamark went ahead and sent out a repeat delivery of the 1m of vinyl on a before 9.30 at no extra cost. Sure enough this arrived (Together with the first order) at 9.15am on the Tuesday in time to complete my job.
So delivery probably cost over £25 for about £1 of vinyl.
The way they reacted and it was all no problem was a joy to behold.
    Thanks again Metamark

I cannot fault Metamark at all, which despite having a RHG/Paperlinx branch 10minutes away from our office, and free collections next day… we’ve moved back to Metamark because of their excellent service, and we’ve never had a problem with their products.

Thats weird cause when I started out they were recommended to me but I left several messages for the rep and even rang the office once asking for someone to get back to me so I could get setup with them and nothing, shame cause I only ever hear good things about them.

Funny this thread has come up as only the other week we were discussing who would in the best supplier award if we had such a thing and Metamark would by a country mile.

Just a couple of weeks ago we had a roll of laminate which after approx 40m started tearing the backing paper so we sent it back and got a credit note for a full roll.

I can’t speak highly enough of them.

We’ve only just switched to using them for our digital media.

    Excellent service & product.

I’m not convinced on the 7 series vinyl I tried a sample of as it doesn’t have a high initial grab like the 3M 50 series so will stick with it (no pun intended).

I think they are too expensive. Equivalent products from competitors are better value so never really used them.

Odd – I found them to be willing to bring their prices into line with my current suppliers to win business for comparable items or at least offer marginally better products for a marginally increased price.

OK some products NOBODY can touch (eg. what I pay for banner media), but our rep was at the very least willing to put his cards on the table and negotiate.

Price isn’t that important to us, service and quality is the thing

For the small amounts of vinyl I buy they are actually the best price by far and willing to supply by the metre.

I purchased some striping tape recently, needed 2 x 25m rolls, 115mm wide, and paid nearly £36 each, plus delivery! To say I was shocked is an understatement, that works out at £1.20/metre for 4!/2 inch wide vinyl! I wished after I had tried to cut it myself! 610mm wide vinyl is cheap compared to that!

On another note, service is brilliant, and I love the 7 series vinyl.
