    Hi All

    Two recent jobs.

The van wrap customer wanted an American style design and something a bit retro. The van was later used as a backdrop on a BT promotion for broadband (ie. businesses need fast broadband for e-mailing large artwork file sizes etc.), not sure when it will be seen though.

The shop owner wanted a 60’s themed groovy shop and this is it so far, there is still some flower work to add to the windows and purple ali comp cladding. He’s installed a glitter ball and we’ve put colour changing LED wall washers all round the shop. Yeah Baby! This shop is in one of the drabest rows of shops in the world – you can spot it for miles.

    All comments welcome

    Cheers
    Macky

Love the van – different from the usual.

    Well done.

Are you still using Metamark for your wraps?

    Hi John

Not this one, it was Oracal 3950 / 290F.

We still do wrap some in MD5, ie. Nemo’s / Caddy’s and the like – vans with no recesses or concave surfaces, even things like Vivaro’s if the customer is happy with a cut recess. On these vans once installed the material performs as well as any wrap we have used – possibly even better as its a ‘harder’ material (of course its harder to get it on really well compared to a proper cast wrap) – we are careful to point out to the customers that when it comes to removing the vinyl how much more painful it will be when compared to using a proper wrap though – we give them everything they need to make an informed choice. I know not everyone will agree with wrapping with MD5 though.

    Cheers

I really like the retro feel of the van, great colours.
Have you seen Dan Antonelli’s designs, he does a lot of retro themed work.
The furnishing sign is pretty cool too.
Thanks for posting Macky, always good to see your stuff.
