Just read this in the papers, what sad news and yet another victim of Cancer. He was from my time, being at art school in the late seventies. He was always ahead of his time, had great vision. A sad loss IMO. May he rest in peace.

yep Martin……sad end for a huge figure in my life….he was manipulative, abrasive, compellingly interesting, but above all; honest about it all.
The Sex Pistols wouldn’t have happened without him and I would have ended up licking envelopes in the nearest meat factory!
Instead at 16 I pierced my own ears (feck I can still feel that!) turned my duffel coat inside out and essentially….. saw through the bulls*it, along with a whole generation. You’ll be missed Malcolm! 🙁

What he did to opera changed my views to music for life! Sex pistols was a toy for him, Vivien Westwood was His soul mate, art was his life…

To the followers, go out and buy ‘Fans’ CD, you may be surprised!

Fleabay prices have tripled since his death…

    eternal rest

Aye, his influence on modern music and fashion are probably incalculable. RIP Malcolm. (though i get the strange feeling he wont)

Now to dig out my no doubt quite rare 12inch shaped picture disc of madame butterfly.
