Have just found out that when dealing with Makro they are classed as a cash & carry so you do not have the same rights under the sale of goods act as you would from a high steet retailer. This also applies to all sellers that you need a membership card for eg Costco etc. So don’t buy any expensive electrical goods like tvs etc and expect to say that my contract is with you not the manufacturer when they tell you that you have to deal with the manufacture when it goes wrong. Straight from the mouth of trading standards. You could end up having to take them to court if they don’t play ball.

Found this out last year. The missus bought some sort of magic clothes drying bag type thing 😮 Looked good on the box but was pants in practice. She took it back and initially they said tough, as long as its not faulty its not their problem. 👿

After a bit of discussion with the store manager, we managed to get him to agree to give money back. Worth while to stand your ground and calmly put your point across. Sometimes you win sometimes you dont!
