  • Magnets losing magnetism.

I have a friend that I done some vehicle magnets for a while back. He says that he has kept them rolled up for a few weeks while not using the van, but now says they won’t stick at all. Has anyone heard of this before ?.

I have read that this can happen to a rise in temperature. If it gets too hot then the magnets can lose it strength.

wouldn’t have thought heat would have been an issue recently, maybe cold affects them too?

    its age really, not temperature,
as you get older your magnetism declines.

I always understood a permanent magnets magnetic field was fixed for life and could not deteriorate. Only electromagnets have a variable magnetic field
