Interesting enquiry just come through 70, 10 meter by 2meter magnetic signs, the magnetic only comes in 610mm wide so will have to make up in at least 2 parts but more likely in 6 parts so thats 1400 meters of magnetic, and these are temporary signs.

call anchor magnets and ask if they can give you an alternative?
another thing.. does the whole panel need to be magnetic?
why not fix “STRONG MAGNETS” to something like dibond & apply like that,, remember how heavy magnet is.. how awkward it is to put on a fair sized panel to metal, never mind that size.

just some things to consider 🙄

If you can find them, 5000 Gauss magnets would do what Robert is suggesting. They can hold extraordinary amounts of weight.

Contacted Anchor Magnets and have a catalogue coming but sample sent up to customers didnt stick to surface very well and I do agree that amount of magnetic would be very dificult to handle. So i am looking at the possibility of using an ultra removable film instead, apparently you can take it off and reposition if needed. I am trying to sort this indirectly with the customer through a third party and need to make it idiot proof, as they will be fitting it!

Electrostatic cling film is the best answer. As long as the surface is clean and polished, they should work well for tempory signage.

Glass or painted steel is no problem.

From what I know tho, It only comes about 1500mm wide. May be wrong tho. Should be able to digitally print directly to the surface too.

    Cheers
