Magners cider Sign
Posted by Gary Birch on December 3, 2008 at 7:44 pmI know this is a long shot at best but has anyone seen the Magners sign at the brewery in Ireland.
I have a customer who supplies them and the MD has seen their sign and now wants their sign to be of similar ilk to Magners but he cannot produce a photo.
Is there anyone out there who at least knows what it is like or even better has a photo of it.
As I said a long shot at best but I don’t know what else to do.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Gary

Hi,
Drove past it last christmas on the way from Rosslare to Galway, on my way home for christmas and had a look.
I think it was mirror polished stainless steel built up letters with green LED halo illumination.

Hi Gary
Magners is brewed in Ireland, but as far as I now, the brand here is called Bulmers – The factory is definitely Bulmers Brewery.
Anyway, the attached is a picture of the Bulmers sign on the factory in Clonmel but there might also be a Magners sign there that I am not familiar with…
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help guys. Joe, this may sound like a daft question but was the sign on the wall of the building or a free standing sign.
The way the customer describes it is that it is stainless with back lighting but he says that it isn`t wall or panel mounted just free standing letters. I wonder if he is mistaking the fact that each letter is individual??
Some jobs eh? 🙄
Thanks again for your help.
Cheers

Gary,
The signs are on a wall either side of the entrance to the factory.
It’s on the roundabout at the entrance to the brewery. The letters are about 4-500mm high and are stood off the wall on brass locators, and the letters are only mounted about 800mm off the ground, so I guess they don’t have too much vandalism in clonmel.
I had a look lastnight online as well and gave up after an hour – I was amazed I couldn’t find any pictures, as it’s such a striking piece of work….
Hope this helps a bit more.
Cheers
