    ah.. this is where a mac user thinks we are all mac users.
    if you cant read it then you have to get the customer to ‘stuffit’ and send it to you.

    richard im sure one of the mac users onboard will help you out….stuffit is a mac programme to ‘unzip’ files similar to pc ones… 😀

    i will ask my customer to sent so it can be opened on a pc

    basically when you send an email between a mac operating systesm to a pc operating system, it encodes it and then attempts to decode it at the destination end. It normally just screws up badly so therefore you need to download the free version of StuffIt and both ends to transfer the sucessfully. However sometimes if you send a Mac Quark Xpress document and try and open it on a PC Quark Xpress it will be converted automatically.

    Bottom line is, mac and PC os store files differently.

    One of my customers are switching from pc to mac very soon. How did you get round it in the end? Cheers
