Losing out on sign and print quotes, what is your views and opinions please?
I’d say maybe as high as 95% that we quote we win. Not through being cheap just am quick to reply, we bit of time explaining our pro’s I.e we’re going to use a cast on your van which has a 8 year life span etc etc
But two in two days now.
First was 2 pop up banners. £30 each cheaper than what I quoted. Emailed back last night just saying we are competitive on what we are offering basically and don’t do a lesser product. Got told to jog on this morning.Second is for double sided tote pole. Poles are already there so just need face either side.
Anyway apparently 2 other sign companies have quoted and produced her artwork already from low res images (so that’s either hours working on it or be sent off to be done at a cost). So who would go what option
A) sorry love, we do artwork after being awarded the job and of course will work with you until it’s correct. We are two busy to do that on a chance (in nicer less arrogant way)
B) not respond at all so I don’t have to sound like an arrogant muppet but also look unreliable.
C) bite the bullet out of pride, get 2 images vectorised and then hope our quote of £120 a panel is good
Enough…Also got another one that closer to 5k than it is to 1 that gets his signs re-done every year to year and half as they bleach back to white almost. I’ve never seen a monomeric that shrinks so much. I think my explaining and let’s do things this way so your good for another 5, maybe even 10 years is falling on deaf ears…
Rant over.
