    Hi
i know i can try the toolbar for suppliers but i was wondering if anyone could recommend a supplier they have used in the past who offers this at a good price.

It’s the BS EN 12600 strength film i’m looking for.

For windows of buildings not vehicles in case that makes a difference.

    Any advice much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Liam

    Thanks both of you,

i got the tool bar suppliers, under ‘specialist window films’. Was just trying to compile a list to get prices from.

    Thanks again

The BS EN 12600 applies to most safety / security films. The BS number means that particular grade of film has been tested for its specific purpose.

These films usually range from single ply 100 micron to 3 ply 300 micron.

Bomb Blast is usually a minimum thickness of 200micron / break strength of 224lb per sq inch, but this can be dependent on glass size and location within building.

If you need any advice try Nik Sanders @ Bonwyke 01329289621 or Jonathan Worrod @ Stockfilms 02084410449 or Nick Jackson @ MVM Films 08452703518.

They are all dedicated suppliers of all types of window film.

I have only fitted up to 200 micron and that was awkward, especially when it comes to your edge trimming.

Make sure you have a good heavy duty 8" pro-squeegee with something like a crusher handle, its paramount you get as much of the application fluid out of there when applying.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.
