Logo and Van Design Mental Block
Posted by Gordon Forbes on May 27, 2009 at 1:44 amHi folks been a while I know but been very busy with job.
I have a design to do for a customer who has no logo. He would like a logo I have done a design for one of his new vans as you can see but I can’t seem to see past it for a couple of variations. All he requested was Heavy lettering on the initials and blue.
If any of you have the time and would like to contribute please do so.
Thanks in advance for any help Oh the vans is one of that large Renault ones with the deep recesses.Gordon Forbes replied 14 years, 11 months ago 10 Members · 14 Replies -

Hi Gordon,
long time no see!why does he want blue? seems a strange association to the country.
i’d personally offer the lettering and hedgerow (the fancy bit across the middle, not looked proper.. sorry) in a forest green and a lighter shade for the oval, maybe some light brown/creamy colours.
sorry it’s not much help along the lines of your question.

Gordon, the way I see it is that your layout has no focal point.
Yes we see the big initials, and they matter to the client.
But what they do matters to their customers.
So I would try to make it more concise.
I have no idea what a country store is over there but here it would be a place which would be kind of old-fashioned and sell everything from feed, seeds, tools, to penny candy.
This example isn’t really my best effort, as my Corel has been acting weird and I kept getting interruptions this morning.
Just trying to get your creative juices flowing.
