Shipped these out to the client yesterday. Its a printed decal with doming to "tart up" the dashboard on mini’s. Am going to offer some really bespoke ones so hopefully will have something a little more out of the ordinary soon.

    HI Nicola,

No this was for one of the lads on NorthernMini, Paul (TheDogFather) works just up the road from our factory so am always borrowing his car for product testing. I did the NMS domed stickers and keyrings though 😉

I like the dash very nice

Think I’ll need to "spruce" up the inside of our mini while we’re sorting the outside :lol1:

if someone crashed it why do you suggest that it was me? 👿

some nice work there Andy, well done mate…
not keen on the font on the tax disc holder (comic sans) but the overall effect is nice. is it engraved or lasered?

thanks for taking the time to post your work mate.

    Hi Rob,

Comic Sans is my pet hate bud but the client had already had the logo designed we just vectored it.

Its laser engraved onto a richbrook aluminium tax disc.

Oh and should I take some photos and update my doming "step by step" I did years ago? Its a lot simpler now!

Or has somebody already done an updated one in the meantime?

cheers andy… i didn’t realise you had a laser, always thought it was routered mate. what type of laser are you using, "out of noseyness" 😀
i simply don’t have the work for lasers with our customer base but think the possibilities are endless. i was looking at them on the grafityp stand at signuk and was very impressed.

email me regarding demo and ill get back to you asap mate.

Its an epilog mini 24, 35 watts.

We mainly knock out big bulk runs of acrylic pet tags (you remember? the other bigger side of our business) as well as marking stainless tags, doing rubber stamps and more.

Its been a very busy machine of late, and yes the possibilities are endless. And as far as "engraving" goes they are technically an easier machine to design for and operate.

BIG BUT though the plastics aren’t as durable, they have a thinner top coat to laser quickly but by the nature scratch easier. The aluminium again same story, lovely for decorative and display work, but as the anodised can be scratched its not in-destructible!

We still have four mill engraving machines of various sizes but they are always busy, there’s just something comforting about knocking a big hole in something and filling it with paint – not a lot can go wrong!
