    Can anybody help?
I’m just tring to get used to new software “Vinyl Master Pro”, everytime i cut anything out it cuts a line to every other letter, why? The cutter’s blade never raises. I’m using a Pcut 630.

Hello and welcome to the site. Give an introduction to yourself, others on here all like to know who we are chatting to.

With regard to your problem – are the lines cutting through letters or just ‘joining’ your lettes up.

I suspect it’s the latter and could be an ‘Easy Weed’ feature in the production manager. If this is the case it can probably be turned off in the preferences of the program. I do not use this software, so it’s only a guess – hope it helps.

    i think yuo’re right Tony,

i never used VMP but did have a loom thru a copy i had, i’ pretty certain that it will be the easy weed feature,

i occasionally join up letters in corel to create the easy weed effect, it means you dont need to watch both points, for example, of a K, at once as only one half is being weeded at a time,

Still trying to sort it out. The lines are cutting through everything. The cutter blade never raises even when finished, i have to re-set my cutter to get the blade to raise.
    Thanks

I would try another program first if you can just to eliminate the cutter from the equation.

Maybe your cutter may have a demo job that is retained in it’s own memory, if it has then you should be able to turn the cutter off then back on and select the demo job from the cutters via it’s own menu and let it cut the demo job out.

This way you will know for sure what is causing the problem, whether software set-up or the cutter itself.
