    Hi everyone,
We have been asked to make a couple of electronic signs. The electronics are no problem at all but I need some advice on enclosure materials.

We want to make a lightweight, waterproof (fitted outdoors) enclosure. Any suggestions on materials? Is Foamex suitable?

    Thanks,
    Alan

Depending on the construction, you may have problems with foamex expanding and contracting with heat changes.
I would probably look to Dibond or equivalent, I think I read somewhere they also make a honeycomb centre dibond which is even lighter.
