Afternoon all. weve been asked to produce some new panels for an existing lightbox. due to the design required we will have to do a print rather than translucent vinyls. can anybody recommend a media to print onto? In the past we have printed onto regular translusecent white with mixed effects. And I have had to go over the print 2 or 3 times to get the required density. this sign is 5000mm x 800mm so dont really want to do 2 passes. Any advice appreciated. Oh its on a VP540, thanks. Ryan

    Hi Ryan

Metamark MDT600 is good but regardless of media I’m sure you will still have to lay down more ink to ensure it doesn’t wash out too much when illuminated.

    Cheers

I was under the impression that all solvent based inks would require double striking. The only printer I know that used to be able to print them in a single strike was an Encad with GS+ inks 😳
