    What form are you planning….

i.e. 3d build up that appears to move as the viewing aspect changes or the more traditional angled lenses that focus on differing areas of an underlying picture…….(Im answering no to experience of signs, however I know there are different forms for making lenticular images)

Phil, I made some once before, I might still have them lying about somewhere but would have to have a good dig about. Have you been asked to produce some for a customer or are you just wanting to make up some samples. Can’t remember where I got the lenses from or how many LPI they were, I think I still have the software somewhere. I didn’t actually ever sell any as people didn’t seem to want to pay the money for them so it was a bit of a wasted effort really.

    Hi Phill

Have done some – be careful can be a nightmare.

My suggestion is to keep the overall sign as small as possible. We did a 10′ x 5′ outdoor sign made from 3 separate lenses – wouldn’t do that again in a hurry. 😥 😳

Its a pain getting the printing registration right over that size and the whole sign needs to be as flat as poss to work proper.

Are you looking at a particular project or just asking?

    Cheers. Nick.

This is purely out of interest on my part. It’s something I find fascinating and I would like to have a go at producing some stereoscopic 3d images (as opposed to moving images or images that "flip").

I was wondering where to get lenses and software from?
