LED suppliers for illuminated signage
Hi All
As we about to venture in to making our own fret cut illuminated trays etc can I get some recommendations for companies who can supply LED’s and all the other bits required (transformers etc etc) Ideally a company who offers good support as we will probably have a lot of questions.

Hi Warren,
In another life I used to sell Sloan LED’s there not the cheapest but they are backed up with great warranties. I’m sure you can google to find a distributor. You buy by the box so I would suggest you make your tray depth universal so you can utilise a single type of module to suit the depth of tray. With the Sloan range you also can buy the Modules / drivers / wire / even the self sealing connectors and what ever tools you need, also when I was selling them we organised one day training courses. We use Perspex. We just send across a to scale version of the sign in PDF. Let them know the depth, fret cut etc.. and they supply the modules, all the gubbins, transformer etc.. they also supply a little plot drawing to show you where the LEDS should be. They are bright enough. Oldest one up is about 4 years, so can’t comment on lifespan, but they are rated for 10 + I believe.
Photo attached is on our vehicle bay floor, lights still on, checking all works.

Vink does a good range of LEDs. I “think” they are by Sloan.

We import our quality LEDs for our own usage in built up letters.
