A bit of a complicated one here but here goes…………..

I want to layer a text on top of another text so I need to use 2 different colours.

So for example I type the word `DOG` then type the word `CAT` over the top. Now I need to cut the word CAT out of the DOG at the same time cutting out the word DOG so I can then cut the word CAT out in another colour and layer it over it.

Now I have made the word CAT white (in corel) and tried putting that to the cutting machine but it still cuts the whole outline of the word CAT rather than just cutting out the shape from the word DOG.

If anyone has any idea what I am trying to do then please help I am using COREL> signcut.

PS> the word dog and cat are examples:)

    If I understand you correctly…..

Weld dog and cat together and cut. Now cut in 2nd colour just the word cat and place on top of the other.

Alternatively, trim cat from dog and inlay 2nd colour.

due to the way i’m increasingly surprising myself with what i’ve so far learnt on corel, i’m gonna agree with him up there !

i spent near 5 hours trying to make a design the other night, and the stuff i found out accidentally whilst trying to make it is cool ! give yerself a project to try and draw, and go for it, go as far as you can, then ask a little advice if ya get stuck on a certain way to make something or to make it appear (this lot here are pretty cool about it !) .
