    Hi folks!
Here’s a fun one I just completed. This one is for a Truck Accessories company wayyyyy down south in the U.S. where gun racks and big lights adorn every 4×4 truck.

They wanted an illustration of a decked out 4×4 incorporated into the logo. The "truk" (I’m not so big on the spelling) was hand drawn, inked, scanned in and the color and details were worked into it in Corel. It was pretty labour intensive to get all that detail.

They’ll be using this on all of there promotional materials, sign, t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc. etc. The 4′ x 16′ sign design hasn’t been finalized just yet. Not so sure I like the direction of it . It’ll be digitally printed so I could go crazy with the details on the truck.

Hopefully I can get more of these kind of projects, they’re too fun to work on!

Love the way you get that chrome effect and the reflection line down the side of the truck.
    Lovely work mate.

I’m not really happy at all with the sign layout yet, I’m still working on it and I am playing with the idea of having a dark background. The problem I’m having is with the color of the truck (as per their request). It falls within that value of too dark for a dark background to really pop. I’m just not really big on white backgrounds.

What I did for the reflection on the side of the truck was use the same steps as my chrome lettering demo, but I filled it with white and used the interactive transparency tool and put a gradient transparency on it. This way it stays consistent across all the graphics.

    Appreciate all the nice comments!!
