    WooHoo !!

Today is our last day of work 😀

Tomorrow the guys will just have to come in to do a bit of cleaning, and then go home. Cant have the place looking like a pigsty if the burglars visit during the holidays…..

We only open on the 17th of January again. One whole month of R&R (Rumble and Recuperate…)

The only thing that puts the dampers on my spirits at the mo is that I have to pay TREBLE the normal monthly salaries today…..

1x Full Salary for this month
1x Full Salary as bonus (13th cheque)
1x Full salary worth of overtime.

I normally pay the employees end of the month, and overtime is from middle of the month to middle of the next month. The past month or so (one full OT cycle) we’ve all worked 7:30 – 20:30, without lunchbreaks. Hence the big OT payment as well.

The guys deserve it….And I NEED a break! Just after Xmast I’m going walkabout for a couple of weeks. My wife and kids wont join me since I’m going on somewhat of an "extreme" camping and 4×4 holiday in the Kaokoland / Damaraland areas. Described as the last true wilderness in Africa. So, me myself and I. Will take Johnny Walker along for company 😕

Enjoy Gert! Looking forward to downing tools next Thursday if I’m lucky! 🙁
My body clock insists on cold and snow at this time of year, can’t imagine Christmas in warm climes…:)

    LOL, Harry,

We always have a white Christmas……..WHITE HOT !!

In some areas it is not unusual for 40+ Deg. Celcius. And Im going far north, right up to the Angola border area. There the heat is joined with high humidity as well.

I’ve got a 12 Volt fridge in my car, so always COLD beer on hand!

Have a good break mate, This looks like the first December will be relatively cool… 30 deg c….. and wet. Our summer storms are well and truly here, with cyclones (torado’s – hurricanes) expected early in the new year…
