printed some menus and laminated them with laminate that i use on my vinyl prints.
looked fantastic ! till i noticed that the laminate was not sticking to the printed parts very well?.

is this normal for laser prints to card.
i dont like the look of the encapsulated type looks cheap to me.

in the end i sealed the edge with some cast clear customer delighted.

    so what do you do

i made a customer some business cards on 280gsm laser paper, then hot laminated with an a4 laminator, then simply guillotined them to size, worked fine for me, full colour too, didn’t notice any problems.

    cheers.

i used pockets, but have used both clear mactac vinyl, and orajet digital laminate on prints, have done quite a few point of sale A4/5 flyers for a product or two i supply, haven’t had anyone say they’re naff or owt. in most cases they sit on the bench for a few days before sending, and i’ve not noticed any problems. i’ll phone one of my customers and ask them if i get chance tomorrow,

    cheers.

Used them myself 3 or 4 times (have 2 OKi C5600)- all great – till I had a problem!

Re-filling toner is messy and fiddly but I’ve always been an ink cheater
so gave it a try – do I want to part with just <£200 every 5 weeks – not really!

Jet-Ink weren’t too interested when the original Oki machine wouldn’t recognise carts – some unlisted error I couldn’t get any Google info on!

Had to buy another machine – couldn’t go back to Oki with a machine full of compatibles and couldn’t be without, even for a day.

Original machine now works fine with Oki carts, so I’ve got a back up machine which I really need anyway.

Also got a full bottle of black toner if anyone can use.

Unfortunately the chip with it is the wrong one!

Arrived opened and Jet – Ink weren’t really interested.

But maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned that in the same sentence as
" what does error **** mean please? HELP!"

It’s a BIG thumbs down from me!

thanks david i knew there was a problem possibly.
got 2 9600s and at 600 quid a refill i am thinking hard, i knew this when i bought so built in to prices but may be not enough.

love the machine and output but dear to run.
