  • large format print squeegees?

    Hello All
anyone got any suggestions as to what type of sqeegee to use on large format, 4′ x 8′, prints to lay them down as wall paper drops on rigid truck bodies?
when doing wraps we use felt edge types but wondered if there is anything wider to use on such big panels rather than the usual 4″ wide type.

    many thanks

    Kevin

    Hi kevin
i take it your applying dry mate? if so i would say stick t your felt squeegee or use a cotton wrapped nylon one… i think using a wider one hampers the pressure or makes the application feel a little funny as your used to the 4inch wide squeegee… maybe thats just me though.
in this demo.. (not sure if you watched it) it shows me putting on similar stuff, this time im using mactac imagin vinyl with a felt squeegee.
the whole panel about 8foot by 40inch wide and I apply it in 2 minutes…

    thanks Rob
i’ll take a look at the video tomorrow in the unit where i’ve got broadband.
it’s just that we have quite a few trucks to do 1 after the other, was just trying to save time.

    thanks again
