Hello George,
I used to sub my print work out but I hit 2 problems.
1) Not knowing much at the time about image files the guy just printed what I gave him. When it came out crap an argument would start. He didn’t want to educate or advise just wanted the money.

2) The price kept going up every time.

What I’m saying is find not just someone you know but someone you can trust to do the job. After all your reputation is in their hands.

Looking at the poll i find it hard to believe that noone looks on the internet for digital printing and noone looks in the sign mags?? how do you go when you need other products and you cannot get them local???

I do look on the internet, and in the sign mags, but as I could only vote for
1 option, I went for the local one, which is usually the first option.

Local is good, "if THEY are good".
have to say though, if work is coming in too big for your machine, ide go to a trade supplier. as has been said, next thing you know the local guy has a list of your customers to chap on, the next time business is slow for him!

I wanted a large print making a week ago and put a call out in the sub section.

I didn’t get one shout 😕

Have to admit, I expected someone would have wanted the work. Would have paid the going rate too.

In the end I printed it in 2 pieces and joined it.
