We are checking large format cutters.

    Needed min. 120 cm.
Better if got USB. For mac use.
    Needed with OPOS.

I was checking Summa and Mimaki.

    Any advice?

Which width is better, 150 cm?

    thx.

Graphtec, are also a good choice, the size is regulated by the size of standard rolls, so 1220 is fine, most suppliers do this as standard in all their range, Unless you are going to specialise in window films or something similar the extra size isnt everything, ask Jill beans,

i cant see by graphtec im afraid, have a 54inch wide one just now, comes with all the toys and never misses a beat after years of abuse. our 48inch roland will be replaced shortly by another graphtec too. same one as before…

L.J. will correct me if I’m wrong but beware by the Mutoh SC1400 tag as it only has a cut width of 1200mm. (Good machine though)

As Peter says most vinyl manufacturers now only produce main line vinyls upto 1220mm, some colours you may still get in 1525mm.

Most cutter/plotters now supplied in their largest format are between 1200mm, 1320mm and 1500mm.

Quite right Nige it is a 1220 cut but Aitor was asking for other models for him to look at with opos.
Agree with Peter 1220 seems to be widest vinyl nowadays.

LJ no probs on the file glad I could help, btw did you know C.J. had a large tiger print for her birthday 😀

To be honest the Mutoh cutter with Epos is by far the best system I have seen in the last 12 to 18 months.

I know there has been a newer version of Opus released over the same time period but for me the Epos system so far has it nailed.

LJ you know very well that I could mention several cutters over 1220mm width but what would happen……………[b]admin edit

Nigel, That tiger is 17 MB, all the websites I’ve looked at for similar are about 1 MB if you are lucky. Where would you suggest i look for similar high res, even if i have to pay for them!

Didn’t realise CJ had a tiger print for her birthday 😳

Aitor, why don’t you have a look at Graphityp on our home page, they might have bigger plotters!

I have also used a signpal 1320s for the last five years, no problems.
When I bought it the price was very competetive,
It is now semi retired, nothing wrong with the machine, but to be honest, very rarley used full width, So bought a smaller plotter so the floorspace could be better utilised. We will be keeping the signpal though, for the times we do need a 1320 cut width
btw just realised graphityp have an add on the front page, if you want to check out the specs

Aitor- The Summa DC3+ will take 1m width media, but it’ll only print 91cm. For reliability so far it’s great. Simple mechanism and pretty straightforward to use. It comes with OPOS. Its heavy though, (230K) and when you take delivery you better have a plan for getting it indoors
