  • Laminator : Seal 62 plus problem, help?

Posted by Jamie Laird on January 19, 2013 at 5:45 am

    Hi all

The top roller on our seal 62 plus laminator wont lower. It’s electronically controlled rather than mechanical.

Checked all normal reasons…emergency stops both up, tray lowered into position, nothing tripping photoelectric eye/laser…that’s what looks most likely but there’s nothing there.

We notice only the right hand side has a red light, the left side just a small hole, can’t remember if this is a receiver or it too should send out a red beam?

Are there any related fuses, micro switches or a way to trick it? Important deadline on Monday and we’re stuck without it.

Any help much appreciated, thank you.

Sorry, didn’t mean to upload 3 images of same machine…didn’t look like it worked first and second time.

We have a very cheap laminator, very small fuses we get them from marlins, if the fuse keeps blowing, something’s wrong…

unfortunately it wasn’t the fuses 🙁 thanks for the tip, I wish it had been.

Does anyone know of a Scottish based or even UK based Seal technical support guys? I know of A-tech…are they the only ones?

    Cheers

Theres Simon at Laaco laminates, http://laacolaminates.co.uk/repairs.html He’s based in Stockport

Looks after our Seal machine and really knows his stuff, hopefully might be something he can advise over the phone for you.
