• laminating films?

Hi. Can anyone tell me – Do all laminating films have a tint through them. I did a small job recently printing and cutting some vinyl letters which had to be near a pantone shade, warm gray, when I laminated them they changed to a pale green. The lam used was a clear gloss, colour neutral with a 90% UV block. Is there a way round this apart from printing hundreds till you get the right one. Any thoughts will be welcome.

    Thanks
    Fred

None of the lams we use have a cast , barring an arcane one called micronex. We use GMP films , cold pressure and hot. Try a different film , they should not change the colours apart from making them pop.

Thanks Rodney, I tried a test of the lam on a bit of white vinyl with no obvious colour change, I’ll put a label on the roll to remind me to test it on any pantone colours or the like.

    Cheers
