    Just got a second user Epson 9000 large format. Print quality is stunning. Using it for internal stuff and arty prints.

    Still, it is very tempting to want to use it for the odd outdoor job…

    With the dye-based inks I reckon we’ll print out onto some coated white vinyl and then overcoat (with overlap to seasl) with a UV laminate to give a limited outdoor life. If we can get 6-12 months without too much fading we’ll be happy.

    Anyone any experience of this process? Any tips on materials, techniques etc?

    I would have thought that you should be able to get pigmented inks for that size of machine ? It would be worth spending sometime trying to locate 3rd party pigmented inks as the colour will stand up much longer with pigmented inks. Brian
