Just brought a good maintenance kit from Digiiprint. Its got loads of stuff in it with some instructions on how to manual clean my Versacamm

Anyway besides all the stuff it came with was these two doaccys attached.

What are they? and I think the syringe at the minimum might help me get rid of some of the drop out on my black head. There isnt too much and it seems to print OK but would still like it fixed.

Are there any you tube vids of someone pulling through some ink. I understand that if one pulls ink through from under the print caps it is pulled through the heads as well? Is this right?

    Cheers folks

Those are spare dampers (are small ink reservoirs that feed the ink into the heads).

The idea of them is to fill the syringe with cleaning solution and gently push it through the head. Be careful when you do it though as if you push too hard, the damper will split and soak the electronics of the head. Also it is possible to snap the plastic manifold on the head. Personally, I think it’s a bad idea to do this unless you’re a techie or a very keen and experienced user. It’s not difficult to do but can be difficult and expensive to repair IF things go wrong.

    Ok Right

Although I have been told that if I atatche a syringe to the black ink tube under the capping station and then pull some ink through, the ink will flow through the heads

Obviously I will find out exactly how to do it before I attempt

    Cheers
