Joining Foamex?
I’ve a 6m Panatrim framed fascia to do this week. I’ve bought in the ready made kit with rebated join in the centre.
Should I glue this joint……..and with what………Superglue?? (5mm Foamex) 😕
The joint will be slap bang in the middle of a letter so I’m proposing to lay the final letter on site to bridge, and hopefully hide the join? Is this normal practice or courting problems??? 😕
What fixings, how long etc., do you recommend for fixing the Panatrim to a rendered wall?

No you don’t glue it.
if it’s been made correctly it should have panel hooks at the top middle corners to keep them together plus the rebate should have a strip down its length (on the back) to stop it falling forward or back.
If your Panatrim is not DEAD straight on the top piece, the join will open up. You may have to adjust one piece of trim to get the gap to close once fitted, so don’t put all your srews in at first.
Or, you could pre-assemble the whole lot as in Roberts demo. -

Yes it does have hooks, not sure about a strip down the back yet as I haven’t fully unpacked it.
Are these hooks secure enough to allow a large letter to bridge the join?
I don’t really want to cut the letter in half if I can avoid it.
