I had a couple of local lads approach me this week asking if ui would sponsor them for a carnival tomorrow, they are going as the a team, so tonight i did the van for them, nothing fancy just the red stripes as per the a team van, but i had such a laugh with the guys it really made my week.

do you get jobs like this that make you feel good inside and what were they ?

I’m quite lucky because I quite often get jobs that make me feel pretty good inside, these include work for customers that appreciate what you have done for them and take the time to thank you. I have quite a few letters from customers as well who after thanking me verbally have taken the time to write, these testimonials also help as a marketing aid.
Have done a few jobs for local clubs and some of them still send me an invite everytime they have an event.

For me it is the once in a blue moon calls when a customer actually takes the time to say thank you, not saying most customers don’t appreciate what we suppliers do, but when the delivery is late then you hear about that first.

But now and then the odd shining light comes through with a thank you for sorting a problem out or giving (hopefully) the right advice.

Those "Blue Moon" calls can make me float for weeks 😀

I’ve got a few customers that are absolute comedians. When they come in to give me work, I’m usually laughing hysterically by the time they leave.

Often gets me through a week. I did a job for one of them last week, took an hour longer than it should because of all the laughing.

Separates a good customer from a great customer :lol1:
