Sorry

Couldnt agree more,
However they brought the jackets in themselves and I just charged em 20 quid each to print em.
They actually dont look too bad in the flesh, but I agree Volvo sucks.
They brought a price list in for their marine engines and some were over 30 grand!!
At those prices they can afford more jacketsThe speedboat is actually taken from a photo of the guys own boat, I just redrew it.

so where’s the driver then ?
-
I would imagine at the wheel, looking through that windscreen from under the roof.
I dont know actually, I meant I redrew his logo of his boat, I didnt do it from a photo, I had to redraw that logo which is taken from a photo, but was emailed to me about 10mm square.
make sense? no ? good. -
I would increase the Kerning around the phrase "Marine Engineering Loe" 😀
😉
-
Yea I did that, by putting the E next to the other one.
so it says Looe not Loe.
As thats where we live.
:lol1: -
If kerned any more It would have covered the Helly Hansen logo and thats what they pay for.
and that wouldnt do now would it. 😀 -
I would have hung it on a good old British wooden hanger….those cheap Chinese plastic ones do nothing but drag our trade down 😉
edited for spelling as I was a bit tiddely at the time of posting

CHEAP PLASTIC???????
What?
I carved that myself from the backbone of a siberian tiger.
and the hook is made from Ivory. -
Got to be honest here Steve
I love the way the letters haven’t fallen off yet when hung vertical.
Unlike the job we tried.
After your replies we re-did and so far even our letters are still on.
Thanks Steve -
Hi Steve,
When heat pressing jackets/polo’s do you have to make a jig or platen for pocket/seam/buttoned area’s or do you just press over them. Hope this makes sense.
Cheers John -

No mate I cant dance.
😛
No I just press over, and do all my lining up by eye.
I measured the boat on the back though to make sure it was even distances from the writing at the top and in the middle on all 3 of them -
It must be my heat press, the silicon pad, on the base, must be too firm. Everytime I press anywhere near buttons or seams the the lettering peels when taking the backing sheet off, must be a pressure issue.
I only make a jig when I touch the hotplate by accident. :lol1:
Cheers John

john
are you using a pillow when doing around buttons zips etc.
chris
oh sorry off topic steve nice one
-
I dont use a silicon pad, that might be it.
I use silicon sheets very thin so gets right into the material nicely, you could see the weave of the jacket through the nylo flex on those jackets so I know it aint coming off in a hurry.
