Is there such a thing as blackout vinyl.

I have a window job to do that involves some digital print, l want to reverse print onto clear and then put a backing on it with white vinyl. I then want to put the same graphic on the inside of the window. I know that normal white won’t do the job from past experience as you can see the print on the other side because of the light. At night, theres no probs because it’s dark outside.

So l’m asking if anyone knows of such a vinyl that will blockout the light so that the print will look good inside & out.

rather than just buying in a few metres. thats if thats all you need. why not laminate the white vinyl with black vinyl. cover your clear print as normal using this, then apply the new print on the rear of the black. hope that made sense 😕

Seems like a good idea for this job, is there a black out vinyl out there though?

Yes there is! I think pretty much all the suppliers do it. Used mostly for illum boxes I think,
Good for fret cut letters and logos on perspex boxes where you just want them illuminated and the rest blocked out. Cheaper than fret cutting ali and inlaying perspex. Not that I’ve tried this though 🙂

Mactac do one from your preffered supplier
