    Gareth,
Illustrator, and coreldraw are the most popular, and an any other vector based drawing prog will do, but if you already have signlab, and only doing cut vinyl, you don’t gain anything with the other programs….

    Hi Gareth,

You might want to consider upgrading to the latest SignLab Print and Cut, such that you have support for the latest Windows operating systems (i.e, Win XP, Vista), and most models of large format printers (e.g., Roland, Mimaki, Summa, etc.), including hybrid printers that support cutting functions.

In your case, you are already familiar with designing in SignLab, so you will find that the SignLab interface has been kept consistent despite the new digital printing and printing-related functionality. For digital printing, the Print and Cut Manager RIP appears to be well-received as a high-end RIP that that simplifies and manages your assorted output.

Probably the best thing for you is to inspect the InfoSource training videos that are available through the CADlink site. The videos show how to setup various jobs and what the latest features are like. In particular, look at the videos on color management, and on printing and cutting.

    Cheers,
