I use VMP at the moment and think its a great program. I have also used signlab in the past.
The problem is I’m going after a job where the company uses flexisign, not sure which version.
Are there any major differences in flexisign than other programs? I’ve never actually used it.
    Any help would be great.

    cheers, alan 😕

I would’nt worry about it, all the sign programs are made to do the same job, cut vinyl.

All the same tools, just in a different place, and slightly differnet input boxes for the font sizes, box and circle tools etc etc.

    Cheers Tim.

It’s just a bit worrying using a new program especially for a new company. I have told them that I haven’t used flexisign before.
As long as there’s not much difference, hopefully I’ll be ok.

Like you say, a lot of programs are similar. Do you know if it has a trace program like VMP for logos n that?

    cheers, Alan

i use flexi 7.5 pro and will never change from it, tried signlab etc but think flexi is the easiest in move around in and there is pretty much very very little that we cant do with this program, and yes it has standard trace and colour tracing

If you got to Scanvec Amiable website they sell training videoa I think for Flexi. If you have the time it would be worth your while brushing up on one of these. Its pretty easy to grasp anyway, I also use 7.5

i agree with kevin, i bought signlab training videos years ago, in about 20 minutes ide picked up dozens of tips, thats on a software that at that point, i thought i knew like the back of my hand.
you can buy the flexi videos here in the uk too from graphtec.

I have seen the training videos for flexi and they are very good, I know someone who uses it and as I run insire which was also a scanvec product thought I might learn something from them. I would only buy them if you get the job though, they are not cheap if it is only for an interview, or maybe you could talk your new company into buying then as it would benefit all their staff.

    I use Flexi 6.6
I’ve never used any other sign software, I do use Corel and illustrator..
.. anyhow, i got a Flexi pro 7.6 / photoprint 4.6 Demo CD from a Scanvec rep at a trade show. it’s a working program, but you can not cut, print or save from it. I believe you could get that for free as I did. I’d contact scanvec and see if you can get it. On the cd it says – “product demonstration cd”
