  • is there a mactac supplier northwest?

    Hi everyone

For the past year we have been trying all different vinyl suppliers to try and see whats best quality and so on.

We have tried Ri-Mark, cheap but not good quality.
Tried Metamark, their good but quite expensive.

and we have just tried Oracyl which is good and cheap but unforntuatly they dont really want to deal with the small guys which is understandable.

so was wondering where we could find Mactac vinyl and if they will deal with us at our present not quite developed stage.

Any help or advice would be appreciated 😀

    Cheers
    Chris

    hi there
you can buy mactac from amari plastics, they have various depots throughout the uk.
i regard mactac & oracal vinyl as some of the best vinyls on the market today. (thats from the ones i have tried) & i have tried many over the last 14 years.
if you want quality, you have to pay.. it shouldnt be a case of you need it cheap.. just that you would like to maybe pay less than the list price or lower from one supplier to another. of course this will depend on what you buy..

as far as being too small a company. there shouldnt be a case of your too small to deal with.. your paying for something so they sell you it. if its £5 a metre and you buy a metre then thats £5 too them.. regardless to who you are or what size you are..
if the suppliers trucks cant deliver to you then you have a carrier pick it up or you pay them to arrange it.. noramly costs about a tenner…
if you buy lots of vinyl or over say £100 normaly the suppliers wave the delivery fee… its as simple as that… thats how they run their busines, or should i say thats how the business “should” be run! 😉

my personal opinion of this sort of thing happening is that it is normaly down to the guy on the phone. is he on commission? or, is he lazy? is he got a hangover.. or is he trying to chat the girl up in the office and wants rid of you.. :lol1: . lots of reasons why customers are neglected and it does happen.. this is normaly down to bad staff, rather than the company itself.
if you feel your being neglected and you “arent, or havent been a pain demanding this and that for nothing” then ask them what the problem is?
blatantly ask, do they want your business?
if the answer is a long winded way of saying NO, ask why?
ask who it is you are speaking too & their position, then ask to speak with someone above them.. this normaly does the trick :lol1:

if you speak to the person above and they are equaly as rude… let us all know 😉 :lol1: :lol1:

cherwell 01280 840 297 do mac I’ve never had a problem buying small amounts from them if it’s a colour that isn’t popular, but saying that i usually like to make a fair sized order to make it worth it for them as well, black white red blue etc. I order 50 mt rolls cause you always know you will use them.
