    Hi Folks.
Looking for advice on an interior menu sign, 18"x112".
It now consists of 10 panels as featured below (ignore the joke about my pug)
…they appear to be some sort of Edge print….
which are in turn covered with a clear sheet of plexiglass.

Do you think it will be OK for me to buy Lexan on a roll
in white, and simply make 1" vynull menu items & stick them on the front?
This customer is tighter than a crab’s ass, and that’s water tight.
Would it be better to buy pre-cut, more rigid white Lexan
and do away with the clear plex cover?

I am trying to do this as cheaply and easily as possible.
As you know, I’m not really into doing things like this but I need the $$.
Also, should I use translucent or regular HP vynull?
    Thanks & Love….Jill

    Hiya
Lexan is a specific material , its polycarbonate and its used for situations where a high impact resistance is needed and is quite expensive. I
Im not sure of what the sign you are showing has to accomplish ? Is it a backlit?
If not , you might as well get cheap 1.5mm ABS or Styrene as a white backing. (you can cut it with just about anything)
If you just doing a vinyl application , thats fine. A clear covering would need to be used if its a digital print.
If there is a lot of complex stuff on each sheet , a cheap way of doing this would be a digital print on paper which is encapsulated with 250mil hot lam. This would be flexible yet quite rigid and will last well.
If you REALLY want t go cheap , one could flood coat or spray the exisiting panels white and then do the vinyl application.
    Regards
    Rodney

    Thanks Rodney.
    It is back-lit.
    I have changed my mind.
I have just enough .25″ white plex left after another job,
just gonna cut it to size & then stick vynull on the front of it.
(have to find a way to cut it, it’s still masked)
I don’t have a printer for stuff like this,
and the customer is too cheap for me to sub it out.
    Love….Jill
