Thanks
I dont have any plans at the moment but i sometimes get vinyl printed and dont bother to get it laminated, I was just thinking if i wanted to laminate myself what to use.
Thanks Rich -
Let your printer do it, its there mess if it go’s wrong, and boy does it sometimes!!!!

a can of worms rich.
get the people who print to laminate for you so if anything goes a miss you will not get the blame straight away.
i have 4 favorite clears horses for courses but rule of thumb use a clear that is at least as good if not higher quality than the print vinyl.

Rich, speak to your supplier.
You need the matching laminate to whatever vinyl you are printing on.

I laminate all prints for vehicles signs. I’ve tried the clear vinyl (shi$e option) in my opinion, tried dry (lots of silvering) and wet.
My advice, get a proper laminate I use Oraguard 290F and its good 50 micron 10 year cast apply really wet and you will have no problems with silvering at all. Only thing is that the backing is clear also and when I first got it thought it was the wrong product as I was expecting it to have backing paper.
About £5 a meter at 760 but well worth it.Goop

I use 215 on 3551 material used externally, or 210 on internal stuff..
This stuff is very good tho… 5 years life on printed material…. but very expensive.. http://www.ags.com.au/store/group.asp?G … egoryID=63

Hi Rich
Get your supplier to do it – otherwise it can be a real pain. If you get a fault you may end up not knowing where the blame lies.
Its also easier to apply laminated prints.
Cheers. Nick.
