    Hi Qia

No book along the ‘dummy’s’ range for Signlab that I am aware of, however most of the UK resellers of the software used to sell a CD tutorial, which if you have the patience to stick with it – drove me mad – will open up all features of the software to you.

Whilst my least favourite incarnation of the package, its still fairly intuitive to use and once you get the hang of it very simple.

Any specific ‘how to’ questions, let me know and I will try and help.

Have you used other sign production software in the past?

Ok this is going to be fun lol, I am going off line shortly, so hopefully others will jump in and throw more advice at you.

I would suggest that you are going to need a little more instruction than any words I can throw at you within this forum.

Dependant on where in the UK you are, I may be able to come and do a day or two training with you, including making sure your system, ie, PC, Plotter, software are all set up correctly and some basic sign making techniques – cutting, weeding, application etc.

If you are interested then drop me a mail, with a little more detail of where you are, any experience at all, and the marketplace you are hoping to approach and I will come back to you.

Sorry I cant be anymore use now, but its time to go home

It would be better to come to you, so we can do it on your system and your plotter rather than mine.

Send me an email to stevea@postmaster.co.uk, with the details as mentioned in my previous post, and I will come back to you, with some ideas, costs and all my contact details.

    Catch you later

I think it would be better if someone came to you to ensure the plotter is set up correctly as you have to use a specific driver if you are using USB etc etc.

Just like using a printer tell it to plot and then cut by colour if you cant figure the contour cut.

No help on Signlab but what Plotter have you got? 😛

Might be easier ways to cut just letters from vinyl, sledgehammer to crack a nut at mo (-)
